The Beginning - Creativity runs in the bones.
I never really had a choice but to be creative. My mum is an artist and my dad worked as a film cameraman in the film industry, so between them, a love of beauty, detail, and capturing moments was woven into my childhood from the very beginning. Drawing was just always something I did, always something I loved.
Over 15 years later, what started as a passion has become my purpose. I now work from my home studio in Buckinghamshire, creating bespoke pencil and coloured pencil portraits of the people and animals that matter most to my clients.
The Colour Pop - a happy accident
My signature colour pop style wasn't planned - it happened by accident. During one commission, I experimented with adding just a touch of colour to a portrait's eyes, leaving everything else in pencil. The emotion it captured stopped me in my tracks.

That single moment of curiosity became the technique I'm now known for. A wash of colour in exactly the right place can transform a drawing into something truly alive.
What it means - In this crazy life, it's the people and the pets that matter.
Every time I deliver a finished piece, I feel it. There's something deeply emotional about knowing that a drawing - just pencil on paper - can make someone cry, or laugh, or feel the prescence of someone they love. That reaction is always the best part.
I believe wholeheartedly that in this busy, materialistic world, it's the people and animals we surround ourselves with that matter most. A portrait isn't a thing - it's a feeling, made permanent. That's what I'm really making, every single time I sit down to draw.

Away from my studio, I'm a single mum to two brilliant kids, a girl of 11 and a boy of 9 and to my absolute hero, my cockapoo Herbie. Life has been hard these last few years, and I won't pretend otherwise. But my art has brought me joy through all of it.
Herbie is 12 years old and has been by my side through every up and down of motherhood. He is the reason pet portraiture holds such a special place in my heart. I know firsthand the joy a dog brings into your life - and I know the heartache too. When I draw someone's pet, I draw them with that understanding.
